CHAPEL OAK OF ALLOUVILLE – BELLEFOSSE
One of the most famous tree in France, more than just a tree: it is the religious buildings and monuments all in one.
In 1669, l'Abbe du Detroit and du Cerceau decided to build a chapel, and then Oak tree made hollow by a lightning.
Now the parts of dead trees, every year become smaller and the bark, which fell due to old age, covered by protective oak shingles. As a symbol, however, it seems that the Chapel-Oak of Allouville-Bellefosse can live forever.
