Octopus




Octopus (Octopus, Architeuthis Dux) North Pacific giant (Octopus dofleini) is one of the largest sea creatures in the Pacific north and northwest, Aleutian Islands - Japan to southern California - Alaska.

Weight 10kg - 50kg (22-110lbs) long and 3-5 meters (9.75-16ft). The average lifespan of 3-5 years. The biggest pacific octopus hands / tentacles can reach 10 meters (33-60ft) and weigh 272kg (600lbs). Are invertebrates (invertebrates) and meat eaters (carnivores), the largest ever.

Famous creatures hungry, need enough food to grow up to 1.8% body weight per day. Can eat up to 8 crabs per day. Can grow 3.58kg (7.89lbs) within 130 days. Favorite foods are crabs, mussels, fish, squid, lobster and mackerel heads. Hunting at night. Also attack and eat sharks and birds using the crisp and mouth-like beak to pierce and tear the meat.
