egg is the zygote produced by fertilization of egg cells and function to maintain and keep the embryo. The eggs of reptiles and birds are covered with a protective crust, which has a very small hole for the unborn animal to breathe.
Actually almost all types of eggs can be eaten but only a few species are commonly eaten eggs, either as side dishes as well as medicine. Eggs are usually consumed among other eggs originating from poultry such as chickens, ducks, geese and several species of birds such as ostrich and quail. As a food ingredient egg have a fairly complete nutrient content, including carbohydrates, proteins and eight kinds of amino acids so useful to the body, especially for children who are still in its infancy.
